Bob is a registered professional civil engineer (ECSA) and strategic project manager with over a decade of experience in transport, mobility systems and traffic engineering across Africa. As business unit head: transport at Zimile, he leads transport planning, traffic systems, public transport and smart mobility initiatives, delivering context-appropriate solutions for developing economies. He has led multimillion-rand projects in more than 14 African countries and is recognised for his expertise in traffic flow optimisation, road safety, public transport systems and transport data analytics. Previously, he served as managing director of Transdata Consult and held senior roles at GoMetro and GoAscendal, leading World Bank-funded and city-scale mobility programmes. His deep understanding of African transport dynamics, combined with multilingual fluency in English, French, Lingala and Swahili, underpins his reputation as a trusted leader in regional transport and mobility development.
